We have answered the top 10 frequently asked questions to make your wedding planning process easier! If you have a question that is not on the list feel free to send us an email so we can get it answered.

1. Do I need a wedding planner or day-of coordinator?

Obviously, this is totally up to you! The words wedding planner often scare brides away because they automatically think expensive, but this isn’t always the case for day-of coordinators. It is great to want to plan your own wedding, but when it comes to the big day, who will be setting up and tearing down while the wedding party gets their makeup done? Day-of coordinators are there to make your whole day run smoothly from set-up to tear down.

We recommend April Gladieux because she offers many different services, including day-of coordinating and she is amazing. April even has free consultations, which is definitely something to take advantage of.

2. How many people fit in the barn?

Next, We can fit 150 seated in the barn. The main house can fit 50 seated or 75 people for a cocktail type event. Our max capacity for an outdoor tent wedding would be under 400 guests.

3. How much is a Scarlet Oaks wedding?

4. What’s included in the rental?

We provide tables, chairs, and tablecloths for weddings. If the wedding is over max capacity for the barn we provide the tent.

5. What are rental hours?

We offer a 12 hour rental, but the music stops at 10:30 p.m. and the barn closes at 11 p.m. All clean up must be done before the barn closes. If the wedding party shows up at 10 a.m. then the wedding would end at 10 p.m. due to the 12 hour rental policy.

6. Do you have bathrooms or do you provide porta-johns?

We have a fully-functioning restroom outside of the barn! There are separate bathrooms for men and women with multiple stalls and running water.

7. Do you provide decorations?

We do have some decorations for a nominal fee. There are some pictures of what we provide on our Facebook page!

8. Can I bring my own food and alcohol?

Yes! Scarlet Oaks does not provide any food or drinks for weddings. Food must be catered for weddings. Check out our preferred vendors list for some recommendations!

9. What happens if it rains?

Due to rain, we have held four ceremonies in the barn. While we hope it does not rain on your big day, we are not weathermen, but always remember, rain is good luck! The most important thing is to have a backup plan in case the weather is not in your favor.
